Outreach, schools and public engagement

@ The Wellcome Trust Centre for Cell Biology

The Wellcome Trust Centre for Cell Biology is committed to engaging the public in science and our research. We carry out a host of activities to engage with school children, teachers, visitors to science festivals and the general public.

Each year we are involved in and run a number of projects such as:

  1. -Touring schools with our workshop/drama Life Through a Lens

  2. -Edinburgh International Science Festival (our first year 2012)

  3. -Parent’s Like Us Festival: our centre runs the science tent

  4. -Orkney Science Festival (our first visit 2012)

- Kick Start, labs with teenagers

- SSERC teachers training
