Life Through a Lens:
on the road
2012
In 2011 we won the Vice-Presidents award form the Royal microscopical Society (RMS). The award gave us the money necessary to take our drama/workshop Life Through a Lens out of the road visiting schools.
So far this year we have spent two days at King’s Park Primary School, Dalkeith, as part of their science week. We had a great time, the workshop seemed to even better in the familiar school environment than before. And we worked with children as young as P3, age 7 years, for the first time, and this worked very well.
On March 13/14th we are going out to Towerbank Primary School, Portobello, Edinburgh, to run the workshop 6 times in 2 days (!).
In September, we plan to visit the Orkney Islands as part of the Orkney Science Festival, and will spend 3 days in schools. http://www.oisf.org/
