In 2012 we ran the science tent with great success we had over 3000 visitors to our tent over two days! Thank you to al the science volunteers who made this event a great success.

The Parents Like Us Festival aimed to reach young families with children age under 6 years, with education based activities and to encourage learning through play. The festival is a registered charity run by volunteers.

The Science Tent was organised by Hille Tekotte from the Wellcome Trust Centre for Cell Biology, and in 2010 it contained a whole range of activities including:

1. • creepy crawlies (snakes, snails, maggot racing)
   

2. • smelly bottles & feelibox,
   

3. • feed the shark
   

4. • fossil casting
   

5. • pipetting and pH measurements.
   

Sadly , PLU no longer takes place.
